Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups
I was planning on making buckeyes for Christmas this year, but somehow I was never able to find the time. Instead, I made dark chocolate peanut butter cups. They are seriously easy and delicious. The hard part is not eating them all...

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Seed Cookies
A few weeks ago I stopped at the grocery store on my way home from getting my hair cut. I was there for only three items - a bottle of anise extract and two more Lunch Skins sandwich bags. It’s one of those stores that when I walk though it, I end up with a lot more things in my basket than I intended to get. I love lingering there, and Scott definitely dislikes going there with me for that very reason. I always have to check out the baking, bulk, and candy bar sections. And then there are the tea and shampoo aisles to wander through.

Turtle Thumbprints
These are the cookies that inspired the Vanilla Nut Caramels. They are a nice combination of caramel and chocolate. Despite the caramel and chocolate drizzle, they are not super sweet. At first you taste the chocolate cookie, and then it dissolves away and you're left with a nice, chewy caramel center. Is there anything better than a caramel center? Wait, don't answer that!

Vanilla Nut Caramels
I love caramel! I was pretty excited when these caramels turned out so wonderfully because they are made with honey instead of corn syrup. Oh sorry, I mean corn sugar. They kind of remind me of the caramels that they sold at the candy store I worked in during high school. The store had large trays of perfect caramel squares that we would place in tiny cups.

Beautiful Butter Cookies
Just writing this post makes me want a Carvel Flying Saucer. "Why?" you ask. Because I made these cookies for a wedding cookie table, and instead of cake at the wedding, we got to eat ice cream sandwiches! They were awesome. The wedding was for one of my best friends from college, Tina, and it was just the way a wedding should be: perfect.

Cinnamon-Sugar Pecans
I love these pecans. I first made them when Scott and I were babysitting our favorite nephews. (The boys were in bed when I made them.) Don’t worry; I left some behind for my brother and sister-in-law to eat! I wouldn’t just use someone else’s stove without leaving a nice treat behind! I think this recipe should come with a warning label that reads, “These are addictive. Make these and then immediately share them with other people so you don’t eat them all yourself.” Consider yourself warned!

Sour Cherry Bars
Thank you! On December 1, Anush Lini had its first birthday, and I’m incredibly thankful (and excited!) that you are still reading! I’ve really enjoyed blogging this past year and am looking forward to sharing even more recipes in the future. And now for the most important part - the butter count (drum roll please) is 58.7 sticks! I am definitely sure that I have used much more butter than that though, once I take into account baking errors, un-posted items, and buttered toast. Wait, is using lots of butter something I’m supposed to be embarrassed about?
