Honey Butter
Do you hate it when you spread butter on something and drizzle honey on top, and the honey runs off your baked good right onto your plate? Me too! This honey butter will solve that problem for you… promise! It is the perfect blend of buttery goodness and honey, and neither ingredient drowns out the taste of the other.
Notes:
This honey butter will be very soft at room temperature because it has such a high honey to butter ratio. Once the honey butter is chilled, the consistency will be more firm, but never as firm as plain butter.
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
2 tablespoons honey
Yields just under a half cup
Mix, Chill, Spread:
In a small bowl, combine the butter and honey. Use a spatula to cream the butter and honey together, taking care to mix it well enough so there are no butter lumps. Transfer the mixture to a container and store it in the refrigerator. Spread on scones, toast, and other things that taste good with butter and honey on them. Pin It
